It’s been well over ten years since the series has been rebooted and snowboarding has changed significantly since then, but SSX still continues to do it right. There are different types of game modes in this game such as quick race, where you are racing on your own or with other players and competing for the best time; career mode, which is like the story mode where you pick your character and follow their story; and freeski, which are challenges that you can take on at any time of day or night at various mountains all around the world while competing against other players online.
One of the most anticipated gaming releases of this year, SSX 3 split screen is finally here! This year marks the third installment of the SSX series, and it promises to be even better than its predecessors. Whether you are playing on your own or with three friends, you will get the same crazy fun that made SSX so popular in the first place. The game has been released already, so if you want to know more about it or just try it out yourself, make sure to read our review below!
How to play SSX 3 in Split Screen Mode
One great feature of SSX 3 is the split-screen mode. This game is a lot of fun to play with friends, but if you want to play it in the same room as them and not just over Xbox Live or another network connection, then you can do that by playing in split-screen mode. Here are some helpful instructions for how to do this:
- Startup SSX 3 and go into the options menu.
- Choose Set Up Split Screen and press A. You will see a screen like this one:
- Use the D-pad to move around and choose whether Player 1 or Player 2 will be on the left side of the TV. Press the X button to confirm your decision and return to the previous screen.
- Repeat step 3 so that player 1 is on the right side of the TV (Player 2 should still be on the left). Press X again when finished. Now you’re done setting up split screen! Load a race and have fun!
How Does Split Screen Work In SSX3?
Split Screen allows you to play with up to three people at the same time. There are two ways that Split Screen can work in SSX3. The first is as a competitive mode, where each player tries to beat the other players’ times on the same mountain. The second is as a cooperative mode, where players work together to get through a mountain. For example, if there are two players, one player may steer and set up for tricks while the other does flips and grabs before landing. When there’s three players in cooperative mode, one player may do flips and grabs while another sets up for tricks and the third steers them both down the mountain. It sounds complicated, but it really is easy to learn! One thing to remember: whoever has the most points after doing a trick gets control of steering. The more jumps, grinds and tricks you do, the more points you will have. At certain intervals, extra items will appear on the course which can be used to make things easier or harder depending on what type of person you are.
Freeskate offers a different challenge altogether-players go head-to-head in an unstructured race across a terrain park; reaching checkpoints determines rank. Who comes out victorious? That’s entirely up to how well they freestyle ski!
Which Games Have Split Screen Play?
Split-screen multiplayer games are a blast. They’re a great way to enjoy the game with friends, and they give you an opportunity to play with people across the globe. It’s always more fun to share your high score on Facebook than post it as a single player achievement, right? But which games are playable in split screen mode? Here is a list of some of our favorite titles that offer this feature:
- Call of Duty Black Ops III (Xbox 360) – The Crew (Xbox One) – Dead Rising 2 (Xbox 360) – Halo 5: Guardians (Xbox One) – Rayman Legends (Wii U) – Red Dead Redemption (Xbox 360) – Super Smash Bros.
- (Nintendo Wii U) – Terraria (Xbox 360)
- Dark Souls II (PlayStation 3) – Madden NFL 16(PlayStation 4) – FIFA 16 (PlayStation 4)
- Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2( Xbox One), Need for Speed Rivals (PlayStation 4), Madden NFL 15( PlayStation 4), FIFA 15( PlayStation 4).
Many of these games have online multiplayer options as well, so you’ll be able to choose from all sorts of players around the world! And not only can you compete against other people on different consoles, but you can also do split screen multiplayer if your friend has the same console as you. Just make sure both of your consoles are connected to the internet!
Need for Speed Rivals is another option if you want racing without any combat or other distractions. You can either team up with someone else or go head-to-head in a race against AI opponents, using two controllers to take control of two cars at once. If there are two copies of Need for Speed Rivals available then try out co-op or competitive split screen modes!
I think it’s time to get everyone in on the fun. Whether you have a gaming PC, Xbox, or PlayStation – we can all play together and have a blast. All you need is the game and a friend (or more) to join in on the action. So don’t sweat it if your friends all have their own consoles, they’ll be able to join you in this epic game with just one copy of SSX3! And at less than $30 a pop, it’s not going to break the bank either. The old one console per person rule will never apply again because SSX3 gives us all the freedom to play together. There’s no point in arguing over who gets what system when this awesome game is available for everybody. Pick up a copy today and see how well the three screens work for you. You won’t regret it!
